Strong masts with a high telescoping capability...
Mounted on your vehicle's roof rack, the mast sits inside a strong, lockable and hinged aluminium roof box. It is professionally powder coated and acts as both a means to protect your mast from the elements and also as an excellent place to display your company name, making it a perfect sales platform!
How does it work...
On a roof track system, the mast simply rolls fluidly back and then pivots into a vertical position on to the rear tow hitch assembly. The pivot system takes most of the weight out of the operation meaning that virtually anybody can rapidly deploy the mast with ease. Using both the clever roof roller track system and the rear tow hitch assembly, getting the mast level on uneven ground couldn't be easier. Simply loosen the quick clamp to deploy the mast on the tripod, which is included.
Who can use it...
The Fast Mast Box is available left or right hand hinged for UK and export customers and designed to be fitted to the pavement/sidewalk side of the vehicle. This allows the operator to open the box and fit the camera or other equipment safely. The system comes with full fitting and user/maintenance instructions.
The Fast Mast system is designed as a rapid method of vehicle mounted deployment and tripod mounted in places where a vehicle cannot access. When either the 80mm or 101mmØ mast is used on the tripod or vehicle the mast can be extended using the stand pump (included) in around 2 minutes. As all of our masts require very low air pressure, this can be achieved with little effort. Alternatively you can purchase a remote controlled 12v air compressor.
The box has a fixed flange along both sides which allows you to fix to the roof rack/bars which may be in various positions depending on what vehicle you will be using. For vehicles with a top hinged rear door we can supply a sliding assembly which allows the entire Fast Mast Box to be moved forwards and clamped temporarily allowing full access to the rear door. This also allows you to quickly remove the entire Fast Mast Box and store it when not in use by simply sliding it rearwards.
The tow hitch mast base adjustment assembly simply bolts (or can be welded) to a standard towing bar, electrics are not required. Quick release towing assemblies can be used if you wish to quickly remove this when not in use.
