Solar power used with masts
Posted: Nov 17, 2011
Over the past few months we have provided a significant and increasing number of masts to clients in the UK, Australia, USA, and Europe and the middle east that have been installed to trailers or steel base cabinets both of which will contain large batteries. They also have the new types of solar panels which generate enough power to allow them to be deployed in remote locations and be completely self powered and independent of any wiring or power source. This new and revolutionary technology has enabled our clients to power such items as large LED roadside warning and information signs which are now available in multi colour. Many clients have installed masts on these platforms to elevate a wide range of I.P cameras, ANPR cameras (automatic number plate recognition), radar V.M.S (vehicle monitoring systems), and a range of infra red and PTZ (pan, tilt and zoom) cameras along with PIR (passive infra red) sensors to activate the cameras. These are used for many applications such as traffic surveillance, remote site security, boarder control, crowd control, speed checks, traffic statistics etc. Clients are able to view and remotely operate this type of equipment through the 3G network.
