The Royal Mast Range

Following our visit from His Royal Highness Prince Andrew, the Lord Mayor and Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, we named our new range "The Royal Mast".

This has proved to be a favourite choice with our customers as it has many uses due to its strength and head load capacity. This allows heavy lighting assemblies or other bulky antenna for communication applications where lateral strength is required to minimise (or even eliminate on some masts) the use of guys. This can be of great importance when rapid deployment in limited space is required, such as roadsides for photographic or video uses.

What are these masts like?

All masts in this range have tubes with keyways and keyed collars which stops any unwanted rotation due to wind. The tube wall thickness is a minimum of 3.5mm and on the bigger masts, some of the bases, 2nd, 3rd and 4th tubes are 4.5mm for extra strength. All masts are fully anodised and this is the standard colour of the mast. However, alternative colours are available. This mast is available in 64mm, 77mm, 90mm and 152mmØ up to 26m extended. A 17m 115mmØ mast is available with a maximum head load of 70kg and top tube of 102mm which does not require guy ropes.

How are they supplied?

This range can be supplied with our roof mounted trolley system for longer retracted masts or vertical fitted masts, such as our adjustable through roof system. Both of these systems enable a good degree of adjustment on the mast, i.e. allowing the operator to level the mast not vehicle.

What other mounting options are available?

There are numerous other mounting options available to make fitting an easy process (internal spiral cables are also available). The mast can be supplied with either fixed or manual turning or base motorised turning. They can be extended manually by stand pump or by remote controlled 12 volt compressor depending on what you prefer. Trailer options are also available for export customers and all systems can be sent in kit form complete with all relevant installation drawings, instructions for fitting and operating the system and maintenance of the mast. Please consult our FAQs and mast accessories sections prior to ordering, or if in doubt, please contact our experienced sales and technical department who will be happy to help.

What else can we offer?

Compact versions are also available for situations requiring minimum retracted yet maximum extended lengths. This version includes an integral mast head cover, which doubles as the mounting platform. Internal spiral cables for numerous head loads such as lighting, pan and tilts, photography, video etc are available on some of these masts.

Where can we offer it?

From our base in the East Midlands, we are able to distribute masts all over the UK and Worldwide. All our masts are packed to EU ISO standards and carry the CE mark of quality.
